Next Director Submissions: ?

What directing entails: Casting, rehearsing, and interpreting the show. This process is assisted by the Witness Theater board (Producer, Stage manager, Technical Director, Scenographer) and an assembled Production Team (Props, Costumes, Lighting Designer, Sound Designer, etc.). We do not expect you to know how to do everything, so we're here to help and to guide you. Because all shows are written by Johns Hopkins students, you also have the writer at your disposal to chat with and to discuss script and character changes if need be.
Note: While we don't require directing experience to participate, our intersession full-length usually is directed by a upperclassman who has worked extensively with us before. If you don't have the experience, but would like to, we encourage you to offer to assistant direct. We would also love for you to come back and direct a one-act in our spring showcase and our upcoming spring 24-Hour Theater experiment (a great way to get started!).
If you have any interest in directing a show, or if you'd like to co-direct (with a friend or experienced director), send us an email and we'll tell you what you need to know.
Intersession Show
Intersession: because you don't have anything else to do. You might as well just come back and work on a show in Swirnow Theater, our amazing Black Box that you can be super-creative in.
