Early Venous Phase of Fluorescein Angiogram

About 1 second after the dye enters the arteries it begins to fill the retinal veins. This photograph demonstrates filling of the smaller veins. Dye in the major retinal veins is seen as white lines along the darker, yet unfilled vessels which stand out against the glow of the underlying choroid.
