    Training Techniques and Strategies
This training module provides participants with an overview of adult learning principles, learning styles, facilitative learning, and interactive participatory learning techniques.  In addition it covers the role of the trainer as well as the design of effective training agendas and training materials.

    Board of Directors and Organization Governance
Participants explore the policies, procedures, and structures used to guide the work of nonprofit organizations.  They learn how to effectively develop transparent organizational structures and policies, identify and describe appropriate roles for staff and Board members, methods of effective communication, and how to monitor and respond to change.

    Strategic Planning
Participants learn about the benefits and limitations of strategic planning and thinking; identify and practice effective models of strategic planning and monitoring and evaluating plan implementation; identify the role of leaders, stakeholders and other partners in planning; and discover how to communicate plan outcomes.

    Monitoring and Evaluation
This module combines knowledge and practice in evaluating and monitoring programs and processes within the nonprofit sector.  It identifies guidelines to determine what strategies need to be employed, who needs to be involved and what criteria must be assessed when considering evaluation.  Participants develop and practice the basic skills necessary to conduct program and project monitoring and evaluation and the tools to assist them in meeting program evaluation challenges.

    Building Effective Partnerships and Coalitions
This module is designed to equip participants with the practical skills and perspectives essential to participate effectively in multi-sectoral partnerships (partnerships with business, government, community groups, and other nonprofit organizations) and/or the formation of coalitions increasingly being used to address complex public problems around the world. Participants learn  why and when to partner; types of partnerships—from the informal to the transformational; stages of partnership development; role of corporate social responsibility; how to foster inclusive partnerships; tools for resolving differences; and why and how to evaluate partnerships.

    Advocacy/Influencing Public Policy
Participants learn to see themselves as change agents and will develop specific strategies to overcome obstacles and enhance opportunities for advancing social change.  The module covers how to target issues, supporters and opponents; tools for community organizing and mobilization techniques and tactics; strategies to impact public policy changes by influencing the political process; and methods to develop and deliver effective media messages and to use communications strategies to reach target audiences.

    Fundraising
Participants explore mechanisms for identifying potential donors and other funding sources. The module covers: how to examine a variety of fundraising strategies and how to develop a brief fundraising plan for the organization. In addition participants learn how to practice effective fundraising techniques and methods; learn the core elements of successful proposal development; relate the fundraising activities to the whole organization management and leadership and explore the basic principles of cooperation between organizations in fundraising.

    Recruiting and Retaining Volunteers
In this module participants learn how to design a volunteer program. This module explores how to link volunteer activities to an organization's strategic plan; identify effective strategies to volunteer recruitment and retention; and complete an action plan for recruiting and retaining volunteers.
