Womensphere Emerging Leaders Summit

Engineering Your Future: Turning Your Education into a Way of Life

Come hear speaker Emily Schmidt! Emily is a Senior Consultant with Booz Allen Hamilton, a Technology and Management Consulting Company based out of Washington DC, adn works on biodefense and program management support for the Department of Homeland Security Science and Technology Directorate's Chemical and Biological Defense Division. She graduated from Duke University in 2001 majoring in BME and minoring in Mathematics. Currently she is enrolled in Duke University's Masters of Engineering Management Program and will graduate May of 2012. At this event, she will be answering student questions about life after undergrad, whether it be a graduate school track or straight to industry, so come with lots of questions! Refreshments will be served!
SWE Presents our Undergraduate Research Panel

Our panel of JHU students representing a vartiety of majors will be speaking about their experiences in the lab, so if you are interested in hearing what other students are up to, or want to join research and aren't sure where to start, come with lots of questions! Volunteer With Us! The Baltimore-Washington Section of SWE is sponsoring the "Wow! That's Engineering!" event focusing on working with middle school girls (grades 6 through 9)on hands-on engineering activities in the fields of Chemical, Electrical, Civil, and Biomedical.
