University Policies, Cancellations and Refunds

SUMMER UNIVERSITY

Room/Board fees are non-refundable. Tuition refunds are granted according to the schedule below.

Tuition Refund Deadlines for Summer University

  Drop 100% Drop 90% Drop 75%
TERM I on or before May 7 May 10 - June 2 June 3 - 5
TERM II on or before June 4 June 7 - July 7 July 8 - 12

  Withdraw 50% Withdraw No Refund
TERM I June 7 - 11 June 14 - 18
TERM II July 13 - 16 July 19 - 23

If the university cancels a course and no alternate choice was indicated, a full tuition refund is granted. No refunds are granted for travel expenses, room, board, and program fees.

Students who are dismissed or suspended are not granted refunds. No refunds are granted for travel expenses, room, board, and program fees.

DISCOVER HOPKINS PROGRAMS

Program fees are refunded according to the following schedule:

  100% 50% No Refund
SESSION I April 30 May 7 On or after May 10
SESSION II April 30 May 7 On or after May 10

To cancel your participation after completing registration, please send written communication to the Office of Summer Programs. You may write to us at @ jhu.edu , or fax us your notification to 410.516.5585 by the deadlines published above. Please note that we are unable to issue a refund on or after May 4th.

If the university cancels a Discover Hopkins Program and no alternate program is desired, a full tuition refund is granted. No refunds are granted for travel expenses and fees.
