Welcome to Summer Programs at Johns Hopkins University.
We are excited that your son or daughter will attend our Pre-College Programs.
During the year, Hopkins’ Homewood campus has nearly 4,600 full-time undergraduates and more than 1,600 full-time graduate students in two schools, the Krieger School of Arts and Sciences and the Whiting School of Engineering. Johns Hopkins ranks first among U.S. universities in receipt of federal research and development funds. The School of Medicine ranks first among medical schools in receipt of extramural awards from the National Institutes of Health. The Bloomberg School of Public Health is first among its peers in research support from the federal government.
Each summer, we welcome over 2,000 students to our campus. They range from Hopkins undergraduates to visiting undergraduates to Pre-College students who are all on campus taking summer courses. While the Homewood campus is in a bucolic setting, it is an urban campus and ensuring students’ safety, both on-campus and off, is a priority. The Hopkins Security Department provides an array of services that support students’ well being. A network of emergency telephones is set up throughout the campus that immediately connects to a security office dispatcher 24 hours a day. Uniformed officers patrol the campus at all times.
We understand how important you are to your student’s successful and satisfying educational experience here at Hopkins. We are delighted that your son or daughter chose one of the Pre-College Programs at Hopkins and look forward to meeting and hearing from you.
