Safety Tip

Dog Bite Prevention Week (May 19 - 25): When coming into contact with a strange dog:

● Do not stare into its eyes.

●Do not position your face close to any dog that is unfamiliar with you.

●Let the dog smell your closed hand before petting the dog, with the owner's permission.

●If it growls or starts to chase you, stand still with your hands at your sides (like a tree).

●Do not touch the dog if it is eating, sleeping or protecting something (such as their puppies).
