ARMED ROBBERY

October 12, 2009 – 8:30 PM

 

A senior undergraduate walking alone was approached by a group of three unknown males, one of which displayed a handgun, pushed the student to the ground and attempted to go through his pockets. As the victim stood up, his wallet and cell phone fell out of his pockets and were picked up by one of the suspects. The three suspects then ran east on 39th Street.  No injuries. Baltimore Police responded. Investigation continuing.

 

Description of Suspects:

  1. Black male, white and blue hoodie, dark pants, carrying a handgun.
  2. Black male, dark top and dark pants. No further description.  
  3. Black male, dark top and dark pants. No further description.

·        When confronted with an armed robber the best thing to do safety-wise is to relinquish any property demanded. Consider carrying a second, disposable wallet with a small amount of cash which can be relinquished to a robber without great loss to you.

Timely and accurate crime reporting is critical to crime prevention.
Report all criminal incidents promptly to the Campus Safety and Security department or other security authority.
