OFF-CAMPUS RAPE

2200 block St. Paul Street

(8 blocks south of campus)

April 30th, 2008 5:15 PM

Baltimore Police report that on April 30th at 5:15 PM, a non-affiliated female was raped by the below described male.  The victim reports that the suspect followed her home, accosted her as she entered her residence produced a black handgun and then rape her.  Baltimore Police believe this case is related to an assault on March 5th that occurred in the 2600 block of St. Paul Street whereby a female was accosted by a suspect armed with a knife who forced her into the entrance way of her home and attempted to sexually assault her.  The suspect, however, was startled by a neighbor and fled with the victim's cell phone.  Baltimore Police Sex Offense Unit are currently investigating both of these incidents. 

Description of Suspect:

Black male, early 30's, 5'7"-5'9", medium build, short hair, clean cut, fairly well spoken, blue T-shirt with a logo (possibly pink in color), black gloves, white face mask and tennis shoes, armed with a black handgun.

    • Be aware of your surroundings.  If a pedestrian's behavior is threatening to you, attempt to get the attention of passing motorists who can call for help .  Try avoiding a suspicious person by crossing the street.  Shouting to draw attention to your location may cause an assailant to leave you alone.
