On-Campus

 

Theft - Fresh Food Cafe - On Sept. 4th at 12:30 PM, an undergraduate left his wallet containing cash on a table inside the Cafe and left the building. The student returned approximately ten minutes later and discovered the wallet had been turned into the Cafe staff; however the cash had been removed. Investigation continuing.

 

 Theft - MSE Library, B-Level - On Sept. 7th at 2:05 PM, a graduate student left his laptop, charger and case unattended on a study desk while making a phone call. The student returned to the desk at 2:20 PM and all three items were missing. Investigation continuing.

 

Off-Campus

 

Theft - 3000 Blk. N. Charles St. (west sidewalk in front of the Wyman Park Dell) - On Sept. 4th at 11:55 AM, a JHU employee was walking when he was approached from behind by a juvenile male. The juvenile stepped in front of the employee and snatched an empty eyeglass case from the employee's shirt pocket and then ran south on N. Charles Street. Construction crew members working in the area pursued the suspect to 27th St. and Huntingdon Ave., where he was last seen. Baltimore Police and campus officers searched the area with negative results. Investigation continuing.

Suspect Description: Male, black (light complexion), approximately 15 years of age, 5'11", 140 lbs, medium build, black hair (Afro type 1-2 inches long), wearing gray Bermuda shorts and a blue short sleeved collared shirt.

 

 

When traveling at night use the Blue Jay Shuttle service at 410-516-8700.  Blue Jay Shuttle Vans are operational from 5:45 PM to 4:00 AM.

All students are welcome to participate in the security ride along program.
