Theft - Mattin Center, Student Life Office - On June 17th between 4:30 PM and 9:00 PM, an unknown person took a wallet containing cash, J-Card and a credit card from the monitor's desktop while she was away from the desk. The credit card was subsequently used at off-campus businesses before it was cancelled. Investigation continuing.
Case Update - Recovered Stolen Property - MSE Library, M-Level - On June 16th between 4:55 PM and 5:37 PM, a graduate student left his iPad unattended on a study table while taking a break and upon returning discovered it was gone. A suspect was observed on video footage taking the iPad.
On June 17th at 3:00 PM, the suspect was located in a Brody Center study room and was interviewed by Campus Security investigators. The suspect who is an alumna retrieved the stolen iPad from her local residence and gave it to investigators. The iPad has been returned to its owner. Investigation continuing.
Theft - Athletic Center, men's football locker room - On June 21st between 12:35 PM and 12:50 PM, a student's backpack containing an iPad was taken from a locker room cubby. There were no signs of forced entry to the locker room. Investigation continuing.
Theft of Bicycle - Wolman Hall, east bike rack - On June 21st at 9:30 PM, a CTY affiliate secured his bicycle to the rack at this location with a cable lock. On June 22nd at 10:00 AM, the affiliate returned to the location and his bicycle and cable lock were missing. Investigation continuing.
Burglary - Wood Cliff Manor Apartments, 100 Blk. W. 39th St. - On June 20th between 6:33 PM and 10:44 PM, an unknown person entered a graduate student's apartment and stole a Mac laptop computer. No sign of forced entry to the front or rear door; an unlocked bedroom window appears to have been the point of entry. Baltimore Police responded. Investigation continuing.
Theft of Bicycle Seat - Eastern Campus 1101 E. 33rd St. West Lot Bike Rack - On June 20th between 10:00 AM and 3:30 PM, an unknown person stole the seat from a graduate student's bicycle. Investigation continuing.
Burglary of Garage- 3500 Blk. N. Calvert St., odd numbered side - On June 21st at 9:30 PM, an affiliate locked the garage at this location, however the key was left in the lock. On June 22nd at 5:30 AM, the affiliate saw the garage doors were open and his two bicycles were missing from inside. Baltimore Police responded. Investigation continuing.
Theft from Vehicle/Property Recovered - Baltimore Museum of Art, Visitor's Parking Lot - On June 21st at 6:45 PM, an affiliate from the School of Medicine parked her vehicle at this location. At 9:00 PM the affiliate returned and saw her vehicle's passenger side window had been broken and her laptop computer bag that contained papers had been taken from the front seat. The laptop computer bag was later recovered in the Wyman Park Dell by a student who turned it over to a campus officer. Baltimore Police responded. Investigation continuing.
When traveling at night use the Blue Jay Shuttle service at 410-516-8700. Blue Jay Shuttle Vans are operational from 5:45 PM to 4:00 AM.
