Theft - Charles Commons 9th floor -
Between Feb. 8th at 10:00 PM and Feb. 9th at 2:00 AM, a Nikon camera
D-3000 was taken from a student's closet by an unknown person. Both the door to
the student's room and the door to the suite were unlocked. Investigation
continuing.
Off Campus
ARREST of Non-Affiliate / Hit & Run Accident (Property
Damage) - 3300 Blk. N. Charles St. (west side) - On Feb. 9th at
8:09 PM, a SUV swerved out of the center lane, struck the rear of a junior
undergraduate's unoccupied, parked vehicle and then drove away without the
driver leaving identifying information. Baltimore Police identified the driver
of the SUV through a license plate left behind at the scene of the accident and
arrested him for hit & run.
Theft- 3200
Blk. St. Paul St., in front of the Subway Restaurant - On Feb. 8th at 1:00
AM, an unknown male suspect approached a JHU undergraduate and asked for cab
fare. The student took out his wallet and gave the suspect three dollars. The
suspect requested more money and when the student refused, the male grabbed the
student's wallet out of his hand and was last seen running north in the 3400
block of St. Paul Street. Campus officers and off-duty Baltimore Police
officers working for JHU searched the area with negative results. Baltimore
Police responded. There were no injuries.
Suspect Description: Male, black, approximately 50 years of age, black hair, 5' 10", thin build, wearing a black skull cap, dark colored coat, blue jeans, and white sneakers.
When traveling at night use the Blue Jay Shuttle service at 410-516-8700. Blue Jay Shuttle Vans are operational from 5:45 PM to 4:00 AM.
All students are welcome to participate in the security ride along program.
