July 16, 2012 – July 23, 2012

 

On-Campus

 

Theft-- Hackerman Hall, North Side Bike Rack -- Between July 17th at 4:00 PM and July 18th 4:00 AM, unknown individual(s) removed a quick release bicycle seat from a JHU undergraduate’s bicycle that was secured to the bicycle rack. Investigation continuing.

Theft-- MSE Library (Q Level)--On July 19th between at 9:00 AM and 7:00 PM, an unknown individual entered and removed a backpack from the Garrett Room.  The office had been left unlocked and was unattended on several occasions during the times indicated.  Investigation Continuing.

TheftHackerman Hall 1st floor office – On July 19th between 1:30 PM and 1:45 PM, unknown individual(s) entered an open unattended office and removed cash, a driver’s license and two bank cards from an employee’s wallet. The employee had stored the wallet inside of her purse which was inside an unlocked file cabinet drawer. Investigation continuing. 

Off Campus

 

Theft Wyman Park Dell, 3000 Blk. N. Charles St. (west side) –  On July 21st at approximately 12:30 PM, unknown individual(s) removed an unattended draw string bag which contained the J-Cards, keys and cash belonging to two undergraduates. The draw string bag had been left unattended by the undergraduates on a stone wall in the park. Investigation continuing.

Theft from Auto Eastern Campus, 1101 E. 33rd St. – On July 22nd at 9:12 PM, an Eastern campus security officer was speaking to two juveniles regarding their possible activation of an emergency phone. One of the juveniles then reached into the security officer’s patrol vehicle and removed a security radio. Both juveniles fled on foot from the Eastern campus. Baltimore Police responded. Investigation continuing.  

REMINDERS

When traveling at night use the Blue Jay Shuttle service at 410-516-8700.  Blue Jay Shuttle Vans are operational from 5:45 PM to 4:00 AM.
