On Campus
Theft – Recreation Center – On Nov. 2nd between 2:40 PM and 2:45 PM, an unattended I-Phone with its charger was taken from a storage cubby in the area of the weight room. Investigation continuing.
ARREST-Attempted Bike Theft/CCTV Monitoring -- Wolman Hall (bicycle rack) – On Nov. 5th at 4:32 AM, a male was observed attempting to remove a bicycle seat from a bicycle secured at the bicycle rack. Campus Police Officers, an off duty Baltimore City Police Officer working for JHU responded. The male was arrested at the scene. Investigation Continuing.
Theft – MSE Library, M-Level periodicals area – On Nov. 6th 5:45 PM – 5:50 PM, a senior undergraduate placed her laptop computer and two cell phones on a table and then went to the restroom. She returned five minutes later and found that her property had been taken. Investigation continuing.
Off Campus
Theft – Sigma Chi Fraternity, 225 E. 33rd
St. – On Oct. 31st between 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM, an
undergraduate’s unattended purse, containing cash, wallet, J-Card check card
and room key, was taken from under her coat on the front porch of the
fraternity house. During this time tours of the house, made up to be haunted,
were being given to neighborhood youths. The check card was subsequently used.
Her J-card was cancelled. Reported to Campus Security on Nov. 2nd.
Investigation continuing.
Burglary (Private Residence) – 200 Blk. E. 33rd St. (odd side) – On Nov. 6th between 5:00 PM and 8:30 PM, a junior undergraduate’s laptop computer was taken from a 2nd floor rear bedroom. Entry had been gained through an unlocked window of the bedroom. Baltimore Police responded. Investigation continuing.
