On Campus
Theft – Athletic Center, basement office – Between Sept. 12th at 8:30 AM and Sept. 13th at 11:00 AM, a credit card, two university keys and a building access card were taken from a purse inside an unsecure desk drawer in an office that was left unlocked. The credit card was subsequently used off campus. Investigation continuing.
Off Campus
Shoplifting /Assault – 3109 St. Paul St (Eddie’s Liquor Store) – On Sept. 8th at 11:56 PM, a JHU affiliate working at the store reported that an unknown male ran out of the store with various merchandise. The store employee followed the suspect to the 3100 block of Hargrove Alley and confronted him at which point the suspect turned and pointed an unknown object at the employee inferring he was armed. The suspect then fled south in Hargrove Alley. A search of the area was conducted with negative results. Investigation continuing by Baltimore Police.
Burglary – 2814 N. Calvert St., 2nd floor apartment – On Sept 9th between 3:00 AM, and 8:30 AM, a JHU graduate student reported that an unknown person(s) entered her second floor apartment via a propped opened window and took her backpack containing money, ID’s, credit cards and a laptop computer. Baltimore Police responded. Investigation continuing by Baltimore Police.
Theft from Auto – 3500 Blk. Greenway (Westside of Greenway near the church steps) – Between Sept. 8th at 3:13 PM, and Sept. 9th at 8:30 AM, an undergrad reported that unknown person(s) broke the front passenger side window of her parked vehicle and took a portable GPS, GPS charging cable, and vehicle antenna. Baltimore Police responded. Investigation continuing.
Burglary – 3900 block Clover Hill Rd. -- On Sept.10th between 1:00 AM, and 4:00 AM, a Faculty member’s home was burglarized through an unlocked casement window by person(s) unknown. A laptop computer, television, camera, check book, and credit card were taken. The Baltimore Police responded. Investigation continuing.
Burglary (Private Residence) – 200 Blk. E. University Parkway – On Sept. 13th between 12:00 AM and 1:30 AM, an undergraduate’s laptop computer, iPod and iPod base station were taken from his 3rd floor bedroom. Preliminary investigation revealed that entry had been gained via an unlocked 1st floor rear window. Baltimore Police responded. Investigation continuing.
Attempt Burglary (Private Apartment Building) – Hopkins House, 110 W. University Parkway -- On Sept. 11th at 11:30 PM, an unknown person shined a light through the 2nd floor bedroom patio window and pushed the unlocked sliding door open. The resident startled the suspect who then fled in an unknown direction. Nothing was taken. Outside, trash cans were available to the suspect to reach the balcony. Baltimore Police responded. Investigation continuing.
Burglary (Private Apartment) – 2900 Blk. N. Calvert St. (odd side) – On Sept. 13th between 3:30 PM and 10:30 PM, a non-affiliate’s laptop computer was taken from a 2nd floor bedroom. Entry had been gained via an unlocked rear 2nd floor door leading to the fire escape. Baltimore Police responded. Investigation continuing.
