On Campus

 

Bicycle Thefts – JHMI Shuttle Bus Stop Bike Rack at the Interfaith Center – Between August 7th at 8:30 AM and August 10th at 9:39 PM, two bicycles were reported stolen.  Investigation continuing.

 

Theft3003 N. Charles St (suite 200) – Between August 6th at 4:45 PM, and August 7th at 9:00 AM, it was reported that a person(s) unknown removed an external hard drive from the desk next to a computer in the CSOS offices.  After further investigation, the hard drive could not be located. This incident was reported on August 13th at 10:00 AM. Investigation continuing.

                        

 

 

 Off Campus

 

 

Assault by Threat – Ruby Tuesday, 3003 N. Charles St. – On August 10th at 10:41 PM, a restaurant manager confronted an unknown male who attempted to leave the restaurant without paying his tab. The male placed his hand behind his back as if reaching for something and stated, “Stay back or I’ll shoot all of you.”  No weapons were displayed.  The suspect ran to 32nd & St Paul Sts. where he left in a taxi-cab.  Baltimore Police responded.

 

Escort Van Accident (Personal Injury) – In front 3003 N. Calvert St. -- On August 10th at 9:50 PM, an escort van traveling northbound on North Calvert Street was heavily damaged by a large tree which fell on it during a thunderstorm. The driver and a passenger were treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital for minor injuries and released; a second passenger was not injured.  Fire Department and Baltimore Police responded.

 

Theft – Stieff – On August 13th between 2:25 PM and 2:36 PM, a JHU graduate student reported that the front passenger side window of her vehicle was smashed and a laptop computer had been stolen.  The Systems Administrator of HLT-COE was notified and Baltimore City Police responded. Investigation continuing.

When traveling at night use the Security Department’s escort service at 410-516-8700.  Security Escort Vans are operational from 5:00 PM to 3:00AM.
