Weekly Campus Crime Report

 

 

June 22, 2009 – June 29, 2009

 

 

 

On Campus

 

Theft Mudd Hall, lab 205 – On June 22nd between 8:50 PM and 9:30 PM, an undergraduate student’s unattended laptop computer was taken from a lab desk while the student was nearby in another room.  Investigation continuing.  

 

Damaged Property – Gilman Hall Tower – Between June 20th at 3:00 PM, and June 22nd at 6:10 AM, unknown persons scratched two names on the copper cupula covering on the tower at Gilman Hall.  Investigation continuing.

 

Theft -- MSE Library – On June 11th between 5: 00 PM – 5:05 PM, a sophomore reported that he left his laptop computer, and backpack on B level of the library and when he returned they were both missing.  This incident was reported on June 23rd at 5:00 PM. Investigation continuing.   

 

Theft – Swirnow Theater – Mattin Center – On June 25th at 4:33 PM, a dress and 2 pairs of ladies shoes which had been borrowed from the Centre Stage Theater for a play were found to be missing. The items were last seen in a locked dressing room on June 14th at 5:00 PM. Investigation continuing.

 

 

 

 Off Campus

 

Theft3104 N. Calvert Street – Between June 24th at 8:00 PM and June 25th at 11:30 AM, a JHU student reported that he locked his bike up on the porch of his residence. Upon checking the next morning, the cable lock had been cut and his bicycle had been taken.  A search of the area was conducted with negative results. A Campus Officer and Baltimore City Police responded. Investigation continuing.

When traveling at night use the Security Department’s escort service at 410-516-8700.  Security Escort Vans are operational from 5:00 PM to 3:00AM.
