On Campus
Hit and Run Accident (Property Damage) – San Martin Garage, P5 Level – On June 2nd at 6:05 PM, an Allied Barton Security Guard observed an unknown female backing a Toyota SUV out of her parking space striking a Toyota Yaris. The unknown female then exited her vehicle and left a blank piece of paper on the windshield of the damaged vehicle. The Allied Barton Guard attentively noted the tag number and provided it to responding Baltimore Police. The female was subsequently identified and admitted being involved in the accident. Investigation continuing by Baltimore Police.
Theft – Recreation Center, women’s swim team locker room – Between June 1st at 6:00 PM and June 6th at 12:30 PM, three swimsuits and a pair of Nike shoes were taken from an undergraduate student’s unlocked locker. The student reported that sometimes the door to the locker room which leads to the pool area is propped open, allowing for unauthorized access. Investigation continuing.
Off Campus
Theft From Building – 3100 Wyman Park Drive, Community Physicians – Between June 2nd 1:00 PM and June 3rd 1:55 PM, a non- affiliate’s unattended wrist purse was taken from a desk drawer in an unlocked OB/GYN office on the first floor. Investigation continuing.
ARREST UPDATE - Armed Robbery - 3900 Blk. of Tudor Arms – An arrest has been made in the May 9th robbery of two graduate students who were accosted while walking in the 3900 block of Tudor Arms. Baltimore Police Detectives advise that they were able to electronically trace the cell phone taken in the robbery to a house in southwest Baltimore. The resident of the house was subsequently arrested and charged with the robbery. In addition to the cell phone, a handgun was also recovered. Investigation continuing to determine if this suspect is involved with other area robberies.
Domestic Assault (Alcohol-Related) – Wyman Towers, 3100 St. Paul St. -- June 6th at 5:05 AM, during a dispute, a non-affiliated female was struck on the head by her intoxicated boyfriend, a JHMI employee. When the victim attempted to call the police, the male grabbed and broke her cell phone and then fled the location. Baltimore Police responded and searched the apartment building with negative results. The responding officer obtained an arrest warrant for the suspect.
