On Campus

Theft – MSE Library, B-level – On May 6th between 8:05 and 8:18 PM, a freshmen undergraduate reported that his unattended laptop was missing after returning from a coffee break. The laptop was last seen on the B level in room 50-51.  Investigation continuing.

 

 

 

 Off Campus

 

                     

Bicycle Theft – Private Apartment Building, 104 W. University Pkwy. – Between April 29th at 10:00 AM and May 3rd at 12:00 PM, a junior undergraduate’s bicycle was stolen from the bike rack in an unsecured basement room of his apartment building.  The Investigation continuing.

 

Bike Theft - ARREST UPDATE104 W University Parkway – On May 6th at 7:33 PM, a Junior undergraduate whose bike was reported stolen on May 2nd observed an unknown male with his bike in the 3200 block of St. Paul Street.  Campus Officers and Baltimore Police responded and stopped the male.  The undergraduate positively identified the bike.  During questioning the suspect kicked and spit on the Baltimore Police.  The suspect was arrested and charged with theft and assault on police.

 

Armed Robbery -- 3900 Blk. of Tudor Arms – On May 9th at 11:15 PM, two graduate students walking southbound observed two unknown males in front of them when a third unknown male stepped out from behind the students, pointed a handgun and demanded property. One student relinquished her purse; the other student handed over unknown amount of money.  The suspects were last seen running north toward West University Parkway.   No injuries.   Baltimore Police and Campus Officers searched the area with negative results.  A Campus Officer recovered the victim’s purse in a grassy area less her cell phone and wallet.  Investigation continuing.  See Security Bulletin SP-7 at www.jhu.edu/~security.

 

 

 

 

REMINDERS

 

 

When traveling at night use the Security Department’s escort service at 410-516-8700.  Security Escort Vans are operational from 5:00 PM to 3:00AM.

During exam week an Escort Van will also be running from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM as a service to students studying on campus.
