On Campus

 

Theft – MSE Library - On Mar. 3rd at 5:20 PM, a Campus Security Officer responded for a junior who reported that she left her external hard drive on a desk (M-level) at 2:30 PM. Upon her return at 5:00 PM, her property was missing. The area was searched with negative results.   

 

Theft – MSE Library, M-level - On Mar. 3rd at 5:20 PM, a Campus Security Officer responded for a junior who reported that she left her external hard drive on a desk (M-level) at 2:30 PM unattended.  Upon her return at 5:00 PM, her property was missing. The area was searched with negative results.  Investigation continuing.   

 

Theft – MSE Library – Between March 8th at 9:00 PM and March 9th at 12:30 AM, a driver’s license and J-Card were taken from a sophomore undergraduate’s handbag which was unattended on a chair. Investigation continuing.

 

 

 

 Off Campus

 

Accident / Armed Robbery – 2700 Blk. Lovegrove St. – On March 2nd at 12:45 PM, a contractor’s plow making a turn into the 2700 Block of Lovegrove Street was involved in an accident with a brown Chevy Malibu.  The car’s two occupants and the plow driver got out of their vehicles.  During the discussion one of the car’s occupants said “You’re going to pay for this” and lifted his shirt to reveal a black handgun.  The plow driver had $28 on him which the gunman grabbed and got back into the Malibu along with the other suspect.  The Malibu was last seen driving east on 29th St.  No injuries. Baltimore Police responded.  Investigation continuing.  See Security Bulletin SP-2 at www.jhu.edu/~security.

 

Theft / Shoplifting –Barnes and Noble Bookstore, 3330 St. Paul Street – On March 5th at 2:25 PM, a store employee observed an unknown male place approximately 10 roll-on deodorants in his coat pocket and run out the store.  Last seen running east on 33rd Street.  Campus Officers respond and canvassed the area with negative results.   

 

 

 

 

REMINDERS

 

 

When traveling at night use the Security Department’s escort service at 410-516-8700.  Security Escort Vans are operational from 5:00 PM to 3:00AM.

During exam week an Escort Van will also be running from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM as a service to students studying on campus.
