Weekly Campus Crime Report

 

 

February 23, 2009 – March 2, 2009

 

 

 

On Campus

 

Chemical Reaction Krieger Hall Lab – On Feb. 25th at 9:48 PM, Fire Department and HazMat responded for odor and smoke emitted from chemicals reacting inside a glass glove-box. JHMI Safety Officer, Baltimore Fire Department, the professor in charge of the lab, electrician and HVAC shop member responded. The building was evacuated by activation of the fire alarm. The lab was declared safe to enter at 10:51 PM. No injuries or property damage.

 

Theft -AMR III-C Fresh Food Café – Between Feb 27th at 6:00 PM, and Feb. 28th at1:00 PM, an i-Pod, pens and pencils were taken from a student’s unattended backpack in a cubby near the cashier.  Investigation continuing.

 

 

 

 Off Campus

 

Domestic Dispute – 33rd and St. Paul St. – On Feb 24th at 9:40AM, a non-affiliate activated the Emergency Phone and reported that her boyfriend assaulted her.  Baltimore Police responded.

 

 

 

 

 

 

REMINDERS

 

 

When traveling at night use the Security Department’s escort service at 410-516-8700.  Security Escort Vans are operational from 5:00 PM to 3:00AM.

During exam week an Escort Van will also be running from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM as a service to students studying on campus.
