SCOR Support

SCOR receives funds from a large number of sources, including national membership contributions, and grants and contracts from U.S. federal agencies, private foundations, and international organizations. U.S. federal sponsors of SCOR activities include the National Science Foundation, National Aeronautics and Space Administration, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (National Marine Fisheries Service and National Ocean Service), and Minerals Management Service. Foundation support is received from the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation. International support is obtained from the International Council for Science, International Geosphere-Biosphere Programme, and Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission. The support of all of these agencies and organizations is gratefully acknowledged. Any opinions, findings, and conclusions or recommendations expressed in SCOR-sponsored documents are those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the views of SCOR's sponsors. SCOR's accounts are audited annually, in accordance with ICSU and U.S. government regulations.
