Integrated Marine Biogeochemistry and Ecosystem Research (IMBER) Project

SCOR and IGBP initiated planning for the Integrated Marine Biogeochemistry and Ecosystem Research (IMBER) project by forming a Transition Team to plan the OCEANS Open Science Meeting, held in January 2003, to gather community input for the new project. The Transition Team wrote a Science Plan and Implementation Strategy, which was reviewed and approved, in principle, by SCOR and IGBP. A Scientific Steering Committee for IMBER was formed in early 2004 and will respond to reviewers' comments to produce the final version of the Science Plan and Implementation Strategy in 2004.
