Baltimore Health Services Directory (With National Student Partnerships)
NSP works with clients who need to know where they can find financial assistance as well as affordable housing, healthcare, and transportation, among other things. The focus of SALUD's collaboration with NSP is going to be to develop a directory of healthcare providers in Baltimore that operate free of charge or on a sliding-scale fee (patient is billed according to their income). Ideally, the directory will include hours of operation of each location, the types of services they provide, whether there are any Spanish-speakers on the staff, and information on how to get to each site (nearest bus/light rail stops, etc.). Making this directory will be a lot of work unless we have a big enough team. We are looking for committed members to help gather this information via telephone, online searches, etc. These things can be done from your computer at home, but we will have to meet occasionally to put everything together. This directory could have a huge impact on NSP's ability to provide high-quality referral services to its clients. If it's a success, we could look into getting the directory published and distributed to other offices across Baltimore.
