Victoria Wang

I was born in Fairfax, Virginia but have no memories of Fairfax because I grew up in Potomac, Maryland. I am currently a student at the Bullis School and will graduate from there in June 2010. The workings of the brain never ceases to fascinate and amaze me, and I feel like I am very fortunate to be given the opportunity to work in Dr. Ryugo's lab as a high school student. I look forward to learning more from this lab experience and hope to continue doing research in the lab over the next year and perhaps even through college. Although I have a wide range of interests (and can never seem to choose one over the other), I know that I would definitely like to study psychology and biology in college and aspire to pursue a career in the medical field someday.
I spend my more productive free time engrossed in reading contemporary books and classic literature, drawing (mainly still lives and portraits), or playing the Chinese zither (gu-zheng). At school, I actively participating in my school's stage crew and design costumes for our annual Fall plays, and I volunteer as a tutor at the Chinese American Parent & Student Association on weekends. Some of my other hobbies include watching movies, playing video games and DDR, and traveling to foreign countries. |
