NONPROFITS IN A THREE-SECTOR WORLD Abramson Limit 25 How do we address social policy issues in the U.S.? The answer necsesarily involves the nonprofit, public, and private sectors (and even newer hybrids). The first quarter of the course will focus on each of the three sectors, using the nonprofit sector as the starting point and point of reference. The remainder of the course will focus on cross-sector collaboration, case studies and current debates in the field. This course replaces 195.631 Partnering for Results and 195.630 Introduction to the Nonprofit Sector and is a full-semester 3-credit course. Course added 11/29/06

MANAGMENT SYSTEMS FOR NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS Hall Limit 25 This course will provide an overview of the key management systems nonprofit leaders use to run their organization. A substantial portion of the course will focus on financial management. Additional topics will include data collection, human resourse management systems and IT systems. This course replaces 195.641 - Financial Management and 195.637 - Managing the Nonprofit Organization and is a full semester, 3 credit course. Course added 11/30/06

CITIZEN PARTICIPATION IN PUBLIC POLICY Ventriss This course explores the challenges and dilemmas of fostering effective citizen participation dealing with an array of environmental and planning issues. We will examine the literature and case studies concerning citizen involvement in public affairs. Course added 11/30/06
