STUDY - HISTORY OF AFRICAN AMERICANS AT JHU WEBSITE PROJECT
This project is a collaborative effort to develop a web-based
exhibit documenting the African American experience at JHU. The
project, focusing on African American contributions and experiences,
will enrich the Hopkins history by developing a more complete
record of the contributions and value provided by the presence
of African Americans at Hopkins and by providing the JHU community
with information that is generally not known. Students research
one subject and tells the story using a number of media including
text, photographs, audio files (oral history), images of documentation
and video. The time frame (one or two semesters) of the independent
study will be determined by Dr. Knight, the faculty advisor and
the student. The student receives 3 credits per semester. Dr.
Franklin Knight is the Faculty Director. For further information
