CHEMICAL & BIOMOLECULAR ENGINEERING

540.101 (E)

CHEMICAL AND BIOMOLECULAR ENGINEERING IN THE WORKPLACE: BIOTECHNOLOGY, NANOTECHNOLOGY, AND BEYOND  (1) Kermis   Freshmen Only   A series of lectures introducing the myriad of different career opportunities available to Chemical and Biomolecular Engineers. Important real world problems in molecular biotechnology, electronics, law, medicine, biopharmaceuticals, energy, and the environment will be introduced. A variety of companies and institutions will be profiled weekly and students will learn how chemical and biomolecular engineering concepts can impact these areas and the role of engineers in industry, academics, medicine and the non-profit sector.
