Red Cross News

Despite a fast and heavy snow fall, Red Crossers worked through the night to make sure six Central Maryland families were not left out in the cold when disasters destroyed their homes during the height of the storm. The Red Cross provided everyone affected with emergency shelter, food, clothing and emotional support.

Two separate fires raged in Baltimore City and Red Cross volunteers were called to the scene to help. Three of the families lived in an apartment building on South Augusta Street in Baltimore. The other two families lived in a home on Poplar Grove Road.

While not a government agency, the Red Cross of Central Maryland is always there for families when disaster strikes thanks to your continued support. To help, please donate online at redcross-cmd.org, call us at 410-624-2030 or text the word REACT to 50555 from your mobile phone to make an instant $10 donation today.
