Some people may believe that a craft and community service club is not effective. Perhaps they think money can be put into better use than the purchase of craft supplies. We could just buy presents or materials that people need such as blankets or food. Why waste time and energy on crafts?
We believe that food and blankets are necessary commodities, but human interaction is important as well. Buying gifts and donating money is wonderful, but it keeps the giver separated from the people they are trying to reach out to. Interaction can be as important to people as receiving a gift or money. We go out into the city and bring that crucial human interaction by sharing our creations. Crafts require time, energy, and creative thinking. Recipients of our creations will know that there are people spending time and energy thinking about them and trying to make their lives brighter. Buying presents and other things is easy, but making something requires heart. Our mission is to bring cheer and joy to the Baltimore community in a way that cannot be duplicated by other charity organizations.
