SECURITY NOTICE:
Sign up for emergency text alerts
In a major emergency, we may be able to prevent injuries or even save lives by providing rapid notification to the campus community. Johns Hopkins Emergency Alerts will allow us to send a text message directly to your cell phone in the event of a major emergency.
To enroll in JHEA, go to a special new section of the my.johnshopkins.edu portal. There you will enter your cell phone number and agree to the program's terms and conditions. For detailed instructions on enrolling, please see: http://webapps.jhu.edu/jhuniverse/today/text_alert.pdf
Registration in JHEA is completely voluntary. You need to understand that you will be responsible for paying whatever your cell phone service provider charges you for receiving text messages. We hope, of course, that we never need to use JHEA. But we also encourage you to register so that we can reach you quickly should a major emergency occur. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the Executive Director of Homewood Campus Safety and Security, Edmund Skrodzki at
eskrodzki@jhu.edu
