Advisory Board Meeting Minutes
Tuesday, May 20, 2008 | 3 p.m. | 932nd Meeting
Members Present: Drs. Michael Klag, Robert Blum, Ron Brookmeyer, Laura Caulfield, William Eaton, Stephen Gange, Diane Griffin, Thomas Louis, Ellen MacKenzie, Roger McMacken, Jonathan Samet, and Scott Zeger; and Ms. Robin Fox, staff.
Members Absent: Drs. Robert Black, John Groopman, David Holtgrave, and James Yager
Guest: Ms. Josephine Albert.
Meeting convened: Dean Michael Klag convened the meeting at 3 p.m.
Approval of Candidates for the Degree
The list of candidates for degrees to be awarded on May 21, 2008 was distributed. Ms. Albert indicated there are 777 degrees to be awarded in 2008, the largest class ever. The growth in the size of the class is among MPH graduates (from 306 in 2007 to 379 in 2008), MHS graduates (from 191 in 2007 to 218 in 2008), and PhD graduates (from 109 in 2007 to 135 in 2008).
The list of candidates was approved.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 3:10 p.m.
