Members Present: Drs. Robert Black, Robert Blum, Ron Brookmeyer, William Eaton, Lynn Goldman, John Groopman, David Holtgrave, Michael Klag, Robert Lawrence, Thomas Louis, Ellen MacKenzie, Roger McMacken, Jonathan Samet, James Yager, and Scott Zeger; and Ms. Robin Fox, staff.
Members Absent: Drs. William Brody, Steven Knapp, Marie Diener-West, Diane Griffin, Martha Hill, Edward Miller, and E. William Spannhake.
Guest: Ms. Teresa Schwartz.
Meeting Convened: Dean Michael Klag convened the meeting at 2 p.m.
Approval of Candidates for the Degree
The list of candidates for degrees to be awarded on May 24, 2006 was distributed and approved. There were 630 degrees to be awarded in 2006, the largest class ever. The growth in the size of the class is among MPH graduates (from 288 in 2005 to 335 in 2006) and doctoral graduates (from 106 in 2005 to 123 in 2006). There were no ScD graduates in 2006.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 2:15 p.m.
