News Release
Chairman of the Board of Trustees, The Johns Hopkins University Bill Brody is in his ninth year in one of the biggest, most important jobs in U.S. higher education. He is responsible not only for the university, and the largest research budget at any American university, but also, as chairman of the executive committee of Johns Hopkins Medicine, for a health system that includes three hospitals and a number of other patient-care entities. Bill came to the presidency ideally qualified for the position. He has both an M.D. and a Ph.D. in engineering. He had previous academic and clinical leadership experience, and an entrepreneurial background. Bill has been head of Johns Hopkins since 1996, and he has done an outstanding job as president of Johns Hopkins. I believe I speak for the trustees when I say that we are very pleased with Bill's performance and he deserves his compensation.
