Zeller Promoted to Associate Vice President at Hopkins

John H. Zeller has been named associate vice president for development and alumni relations for the Johns Hopkins Institutions and for Johns Hopkins Medicine. Previously, he was executive director for the Fund for Johns Hopkins Medicine, a position he has held since coming to Hopkins in 1995.

"John has made an enormous contribution to our success in ohns Hopkins Medicine and in our overall fund raising over the past five years," said Robert R. Lindgren, vice president for development and alumni relations, and Edward Miller, chief executive officer of Johns Hopkins Medicine. "We are pleased that his new titles will better reflect his leadership role."

Zeller headed the Fund for Johns Hopkins Medicine during the recently concluded Johns Hopkins Initiative, which raised $1.5 billion for the Hopkins institutions, including $704 million for the School of Medicine and Johns Hopkins Hospital and Health System.

Prior to joining Hopkins, Zeller was associate vice president for medical center development at the University of Rochester Medical Center. Earlier, he was vice president for college relations and resource development at Ithaca College.

A native of Pennsylvania, Zeller graduated in 1971 from Corning Community College in Corning, N.Y., and in 1973 from Elmira College in Elmira, N.Y. He also earned a master's in education from Elmira in 1978.
