"Echoes of The Emerald Isles," offers an evening of Irish story telling, folklore and poetry with Batt Burns, an Irish Seanachie, or traditional storyteller. A native of County Kerry, Ireland, Burns is an award-winning storyteller who mixes jokes, mystery, poetry, adventure and wit into stories that draw from Ireland's great tradition of storytelling. Growing up in a remote section of Ireland, before television, Burns heard the ancient tales of Ireland recounted by the fireside during long, cold winter nights. He brings his international reputation to the Homewood campus as part of a tour of the United States that coincides with St. Patrick's Day 2003. This fascinating and entertaining event takes place on Friday, March 14 from 7:00 to 9 p.m. on The Johns Hopkins University's Homewood campus, 3400 N. Charles Street. The cost is $18 per person.
