| Re: | Odyssey Program offers a look into St. Petersburg: History and Culture |
"St. Petersburg: History and Culture," is an art history course being offered by Johns Hopkins University's non-credit Odyssey Program. It will explore the glorious past and present beauty of St. Petersburg in six richly- illustrated slide lectures, which include Peter the Great's tour from Russia to England, the Russian Art Museum in Mikhailovsky Palace and the Russian Imperial summer palaces.
The course is being taught by Thomas E. Berry, retired professor of Russian language and literature at the University of Maryland, College Park, and author of 11 books. He has led study tours of Imperial Russia and has lectured for the Cunard and Silverseas cruse lines.
These interesting evening session classes run from Tuesday, March 4 through Tuesday, April 8 and each class is from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on The Johns Hopkins University's Homewood campus, 3400 N.
