"An Evening of Traditional Beverages" Celebrates Champagne

Join Homewood House Museum on the campus of The Johns Hopkins University for "An Evening of Traditional Beverages" from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 10.

This year's event will take a look at champagne, the beverage of choice for celebrations and special occasions. Sample this sparkling beverage beneath Homewood's shade trees and explore the unusual beginnings of champagne and its viticultural process with guest speaker Patrick Harney of Bacchus Ltd. Harney has traveled extensively to the Champagne region in France and has acted as a wine judge in various blind tastings.

This fund-raising event is sponsored by Veuve Clicquot and Merrill Lynch of Towson. Light fare will be provided by Spike and Charlie's Restaurant. "An Evening of Traditional Beverages" will be held on the back lawn of Homewood House Museum. Admission is $10 for members of the museum and $12 for non-members. Reservations can be made by sending a check payable to Homewood House Museum, 3400 N. Charles Street, Baltimore, Md. 21218. For more information, call (410) 516-5589.
