Tashi Family Concert at Hopkins
Tashi, the Tibetan word for "good fortune," will select a program especially appropriate for children, including Mozart, Gershwin and Thelonious Monk for this fun-filled event.
Grammy Award-winning recording artist Richard Stoltzman, the group's clarinet, has been a soloist in more than 60 international orchestra concerts and chamber music performances. Ida Kavafian, violinist, made her New York debut in 1978 as winner of the Young Concert Artists Award and has performed regularly with orchestras around the country. Fred Sherry, cellist, enjoys an active career as a soloist and music administrator and artist member of the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center. Theodore Arm, violinist, has performed as soloist and in chamber music ensembles throughout the United States and Europe. Steven Tenenbom, violist, has performed with the Concerto Soloists of Philadelphia and has toured with Music from Marlboro, the Brandenburg Ensemble, and the Manhattan String Quartet.
