"The Happiness Seminar" to be held at HopkinsThrough discussion, exercises and shared experiences, participants will discover (or rediscover) what makes them genuinely happy, and learn to combine the various elements of their lives to achieve a sense of wholeness and balance. Among the topics to be covered: making time for the things you love, developing your sense of humor, using your unique style to your advantage, managing your moods, and organizing your environment to maximize well-being. Schlenger, a Johns Hopkins alumna, is a professional organizer who works with corporations, non-profit organizations and individuals helping people manage their space and time more creatively and effectively. She is co-author of How to Be Organized in Spite of Yourself, a past Book-of-the-Month Club selection. The workshop, presented by the university's Office of Special Events, will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The fee is $65, and advance registration is due by Sept. 30.
