Re: Afeni Shakur to discuss "Legacy of Tupac Shakur" at Hopkins

Afeni Shakru, former Black Panther and mother of the late rapper Tupac Shakur, will be the next speaker in the annual Milton S. Eisenhower Symposium at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 26, at the Johns Hopkins University. The speech will take place in the Shriver Hall Auditorium on the university's Homewood campus, 3400 N. Charles St. in Baltimore.

Shakur's speech is titled "The Living Legacy of Tupac Shakur." The 45-minute lecture will be followed by a question-and-answer period and reception.

The lecture is part of the 2006 Milton S. Eisenhower Symposium, "Finding Our Voice: The Role of America's Youth," a student-run series examining what the future holds for America. A press release with a complete list of speakers is available at www.jhu.edu/news/home06/sep06/msesymp.html.
