A Raisin in the Sun The Dunbar Baldwin Hughes Theatre Company's production of Lorraine Hansberry's classic drama A Raisin in the Sun will open on Thursday, May 2, in the Mattin Center's Swirnow Theatre on The Johns Hopkins University's Homewood campus, 3400 N. Charles St. in Baltimore. Director Benedict Dorsey will lead the cast, including undergraduates Ruby Agoha, Lauren Charles, Vladimir Cadet, Kamille Brown, Alezandria Allow, Wesley Williams, Dwayne Holmes, Dushon Riley, Steven Grunthal and Elizabeth Holcomb, and Adriel Pridgen, a student at Roland Park Middle School. The Dunbar Baldwin Hughes Theatre Company produces African and African-American plays, skits, monologues, poetry recitals, and creative dance presentations. It aims to uplift the Johns Hopkins University student community through exposure to the traditions and experiences of African-Americans while supplementing the experience, training and exposure of the company's actors. A Raisin in the Sun will be performed on Thursday, May 2; Friday, May 3; and Saturday, May 4.
