Cast of ER to Visit Hopkins
A group of Hopkins undergraduates has found the perfect way
to chase away
dreary February doldrums: a visit from the cast of ER.
On Saturday, Feb.
5, at 8 p.m. in Shriver Hall, ER cast members Noah Wylie, Alex
Kingston, Eric LaSalle
and Laura Innes will take part in a panel discussion for the
1999 Milton S. Eisenhower
Symposium:
Redefining the Role of the Media. The actors from this
popular
ensemble drama are expected to continue a provocative discussion
on the role of the media
in American society, which began in the fall with speakers like
ACLU president Nadine
Strossman, Lovelines co-host Dr. Drew Pinsky and others.
ER
producer Neal Bauer and assistant director Babu Suberamanian will
also take part in
Saturday's event.Hopkins undergraduate G. Saketh Ram, who organized the group's appearance through Suberamanian, a family friend, says symposium organizers are also extending Johns Hopkins medical students a special invitation to the event.
Hopkins students with ID will be allowed into Shriver from 6:45 to 7 p.m. After 7 p.m., doors will open to the public. If snow or sleet is in the forecast for Feb. 5, the event will be canceled because the show's production schedule does not allow for cast members to be stranded in the East. And even if the weather looks fine, those who are interested in attending the event are advised to call ahead to verify the appearance at 410-516-7683.
