Johns Hopkins in Egypt Today
Team Posts Photos, Builds Web Following
For a decade, Johns Hopkins Professor Betsy Bryan has been working in
Egypt and this will be the fourth year digging at the Temple of the Goddess
Mut at Karnak, where she has allowed the world watch over her shoulders.
Bryan has been working with Johns Hopkins photographer Jay Van Rensselaer
and Macie Hall, a senior Information Technology specialist at Johns Hopkins,
to post progress photographs of her archeology team's work on a daily
basis each January.
The web site
has attracted tens of thousands of hits and been featured in The New
York Times.
The team begins again this week to build a web travelogue of the dig.
To learn more, watch a short video on the project.
