Johns Hopkins Responds

"Crisis in Context:
Terrorism and the American Response"

A Baltimore Collegetown Panel Discussion

The Baltimore Collegetown Network, a consortium of 13 Baltimore-area colleges and universities, invites you to a panel discussion next Monday on the recent terrorist attacks on the United States and their aftermath.

The event, "Crisis in Context: Terrorism and the American Response," will be held at 7:30 p.m., Monday, Oct. 15 in Kraushaar Auditorium on the campus of Goucher College, 1021 Dulaney Valley Road in Towson.

Moderated by Goucher president and veteran journalist Sanford J. Ungar, the event will help students place the terrorist attacks in a historical context and examine the potential consequences of the American response.

Panelists include Steven David, associate dean of the Johns Hopkins Krieger School of Arts and Sciences and an expert in the Middle East, international relations and security studies. Other panelists will come from the University of Maryland, Baltimore; the University of Maryland, Baltimore County; the Voice of America's Afghanistan service; and the Brookings Institution.

For information on the shuttle schedule between the Homewood campus and Goucher, please see www.jhu.edu/~security/goucher_schedule.htm.
