The following is a selection of databases which are relevant to courses and programs offered at the Montgomery County Campus of Johns Hopkins University. The databases which appear here represent only a small percentage of the databases to which the university community has access.
ABI/Inform Global
Approximately 1,500 (1,000 full-text) business periodicals worldwide with information on advertising, marketing, economics, human resources, finance, taxation, computers, and data on over 60,000 companies.
Academic Search Premier
Provides full text for over 1,530 journals covering the social sciences, humanities, general science, multi-cultural studies, education, and more.
Bloomberg Financial
Up-to-the-minute. Available on one terminal at the  Montgomery County Campus Library and at the Washington Center Resource Center. Select the Bloomberg icon on the desktop.
EI Compendex
Provides indexing and abstracting of engineering and computer science publications.
Education Full Text
Journal literature in education from 6/83 to the present. Many full-text articles included.
ERIC
This education database provides access to document and journal article citations from over 750 professional journals as well as 850 full-text ERIC Digest records. From 1966 to the present.
FirstSearch
FirstSearch is a collection of 37 databases that includes:
  • WorldCat: Books and other materials in libraries worldwide
  • Disclosure Corporate Snapshots: Financial reports on more than 11,000 publicly-owned corporations.
  • ECO- Electronic Collections Online: Full text of over 3,000 scholarly journal titles.
  • INSPEC: and index of physics, electrical engineering and computer science articles and papers.
  • Newspaper Abstracts: Coverage of 32 regional and national newspapers from
    1989 to the present.
  • SIRS Research: social, scientific, economic, and political issues worldwide.
General Science Abstracts
Indexes over 150 leading journals from the U.S. and Great Britain. Full-text coverage of 39 publications.
Health Sources: Nursing/Academic Edition
Updated daily, this database provides nearly 600 scholarly full-text journals focusing on many medical disciplines. It also features abstracts and indexing for nearly 850 journals.
IEEE Xplore
IEEE Xplore provides full-text access to IEEE transactions, journals, and conference proceedings published since 1988, plus select content back to 1950. Areas of coverage include electrical and electronic engineering, telecommunications, biomedical engineering, and all aspects of computer engineering.
Lexis-Nexis
Use it to find business and company information, legal information, local, national, and international news, as well as environmental issues.
Medline
The National Library of Medicine's index of medical and health-related publications.
Mergent Online
The electronic version of Moody's database includes financial information on companies including industrial, OTC industrial, banking and  finance, transportation, public utility, and international companies. It is updated quarterly.
PsycARTICLES Collection
PsycARTICLES is a full-text database of the American Psychological Association's journal articles. In general, coverage is from 1998 to the present.
PsycInfo
Covers the field of psychology and psychological aspects of related disciplines. Contains citations and summaries of journal articles, book chapters, books, 
and technical reports as well as dissertations; book coverage is from 1987 to 
the present.
ReferenceUSA
The ReferenceUSA database contains detailed information on nearly 12 million 
U.S. businesses and 102 million U.S. residents (90 million U. S. households). Information is compiled from public sources, annual reports, 10-Ks and other 
SEC information, federal, state and municipal government data, leading business magazines, trade publications, and major newspapers.
