Principles

July 1999
After completing the observations phase, Ayers/Saint/Gross has drafted the following proposed principles to guide the formulation of the new campus plan, and seeks feedback from the campus community.

The aim of this process is to develop a plan for the Homewood campus that directs physical growth in a way that

Preserves and enhances existing natural systems.

Improves the aesthetic character of the campus to a level consistent with the stature of the institution.

Strengthens the relationship of the campus with the surrounding neighborhoods.
