DISCUSSION

After an introduction by Andy Pergam, Luanne Greene gave a slide presentation that reviewed the entire Master Plan process to date. She explained that the development of the plan occurred through a series of phases starting with the observation phase and working its way down to the precinct study phase. After the presentation Luanne opened the floor to questions.

One student expressed the desire to have all the walks on campus brick rather than asphalt.

Another student thought that there should be more monuments and statues placed throughout the campus.

One student expressed her dislike of the landscaping around the campus and thought that the grounds could be much improvement with consistent and attractive plantings.

Most expressed the desire to keep the campus architecture consistent with the original Georgian style buildings on the core campus.

Many wanted to know when the implementation of the plan was to begin.

There were several questions concerning Student Life -- issues of a Fraternity row and an improved Student Union were discussed.

Most students expressed the strong desire to have more parking. Remote parking would be fine. They desperately need places to put their cars.

Respectfully submitted,
AYERS/SAINT/GROSS, INC.
