DISCUSSION

The meeting began with a brief discussion of the community meeting that was held last night.

The regional traffic plan was discussed and the potential implications of increased bus traffic on Charles Street.

The importance of the first time experience of visitors to campus was discussed. The manner in which they find their way to campus, enter, and park is very important and memorable and should be as easy as possible.

The most recent changes to the plan were discussed, including the incorporation of the open-ended Garland quad scheme.

It was decided that the baseball field needed to be worked on further and that with its new placement, a net would be needed.

With the beginning of the West Precinct study phase, Michael Vergason discussed the woodland quality. He suggested that a woodland management study should be done as well as water quality testing. Pathway development along San Martin Drive as well as down into the Stoney Run area will be a large part of the design process for this precinct.

Respectfully submitted,
