Admissions starts with an inquiry about programs and culminates in the entrance of applicant to the program. There are several subheadings for this area:

Application Requests
Prospective applicants are offered several application options, but should be encouraged to used the on-line system. For graduate admissions visit http://www.grad.jhu.edu/admissions/admissions.htm

Deadlines
Graduate application deadlines vary from department to department so it is essential that an applicant check the department(s) that interest them. The deadline for submission of application for undergraduate admissions is January 1 st each year.

Financial Aid
Undergraduate financial aid is awarded by the Financial Aid office and the Admissions Office. Financial packages are awarded individually according to the means and needs of the student's family. Undergraduate students are assigned a financial aid advisor that they should consult regarding their fundings.

Graduate student financial aid is awarded by the department. Graduate students may also seek financial assistance through different scholarship programs. If the department grants aid to a graduate student it is designated through the on-line P form. For further information see section on Financial Services.


Directions to University
Applicants who are coming to visit the university often request directions to the university. They should be directed to the following link:

Tours of the Campus
Campus tours are given at various times, depending on the time of year. An appointment is necessary to take a campus tour.

Open House
The undergraduate admissions office offers open house sessions for prospective undergraduate students.

Offers
A packet of information regarding housing suggestions, international issues, health insurance and immunization, GRO guide, matriculation and salary information, I-9 forms is usually sent out with offer of admission. Some departments send out a list of graduate students with email addresses to help the new student.

Housing Suggestions
Other graduate students, Sun Paper ads, Apartment Guides which can be picked up in any local grocery.
